The coolest warm up in the history of golf?

Aside from being another thing to add the list of really cool things about Miguel Angel Jimenez, the coolest man on the course, this is a great warm up you should definitely give a shot (music video remix is optional though!). The moves Jimenez is pulling here are increasing range of motion and blood flow to the joints, whilst the dynamic  nature of many of the movements is preparing his musculature and nervous system for the more explosive movements of the golf swing that are to follow. Those crazy hip circles? These are actually dissociation drills too. They teach parts of the body to ‘dissociate’ and move independently, in this case the knees and hips rotating independently of the trunk and upper body. As we are trying to rotate the upper body as much as possible against a stable lower body in the backswing and vice versa to begin the downswing, drills like this are very useful in golf. Give this warm up a try before your next round and comment back letting me know how much better your golf swing felt on the first tee!
