The vertical jump is THE test used to measure lower body power in athletes across most every sport.
1. Chalk the ends of your fingers
2. Stand side onto the wall, and with both feet flat on the ground, reach up a high as possible with one hand and mark the wall with your fingertips (M1).
3. Dip down into a quarter squat position , quickly reverse the motion and jump as high as possible, touching the wall with your fingertips (M2).
4. Measure the difference between M1 and M2. Repeat several times and record the best result.
You can also use a verti-max device to measure your vertical if you have access to one.
